He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1981. In the years 1981-1985 he received PhD degree of pharmacology in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. In 1985 he worked as a trainer in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology for one year. During the years 1986-1989 he was the Director of Product Development and Medical Marketing in a medical company, Bilim İlaç. |
Starting in 1989 in Liba laboratories, he was Licensing and Medical Director until 1993.
Dr. Akbaş was self-employed on the subject of licensing and later on Medicine Research until 1999. Currently he is director of Monitor Medical Research and Consultancy Ltd, of which he is a founding partner.
Dr. Oğuz Akbaş was employed as trainer in many GCP seminaries on Clinical Research.
His personal hobby is restoration of classical cars.
